My interest in ceramics started in Ecuador where I discovered the Inca culture and pottery. Fascinated by the designs and natural tones of these ceramics, I decided to start taking pottery classes. I then moved to Brazil and began discovering the use of the potter’s wheel, to later relocate to Europe and Asia where I pursued this growing passion, participating in ceramic courses and workshops under the guidance of renowned masters, among which Japanese award-winning Yukiharu Furuno. Ecuador, Brasil, Argentina, Belgium, Japan and Singapore have helped me grow in this art and shape my style. Each of these countries, their traditions, culture and scenery, have been a new and profound source of inspiration and creativity. Driven by colours and shapes, as well as a minimalist sense of aesthetics, my aim is to make simple but delicate pieces that convey a sense of calm and peacefulness, creating a contrast between texture, shade, and form. Whether throwing on the wheel or hand-building, I like to challenge myself by pushing the limits of clay, experimenting with different shapes, techniques, and glazes to create unique ceramic pieces.

In 2019, as my children started leaving home for university, I took a bigger step and began participating in exhibitions to share my ceramics and my enthusiasm for this medium with the public and with other artists. I hope you will enjoy my works as much as I do creating them.
